Litigation support / Expert evidence |
The Code of Conduct for Expert Witnesses requires that –
‘an expert witness has an overriding duty to assist the Court impartially on relevant matters within the expert’s area of expertise. An expert witness is not an advocate for the party who engages the witness’.
Evidence alone does not always win a court case. Sometimes you need an expert witness to remove doubt from key issues in the courtroom.
For this reason, lawyers often find it beneficial to rely upon specialised accounting support in litigation matters. Analysis of complex business, financial and economic issues may require compiling and analysing large amounts of accounting, financial, statistical, and economic information - which then must be summarised and presented in a clear and convincing manner.
Corporate Finance offers a full range of expert evidence and litigation support services for complex financial litigation and regulatory proceedings. This includes –
* Loss quantification
* Valuation of opinions
* Accounting interpretation of information
* Providing detailed reports, analysis, studies, reviews, and expert testimony
We place a strong emphasis on presenting information in a way that effectively communicates your case and we can break down complex financial situations into simple elements that are easily understood in the courtroom.
